Ed Olson is an animation artist/director and illustrator who has worked several years in feature, television and game animation as a producer/director, storyboard, concept development artist, animator and character designer for Disney Feature Animation, Disney Television Animation, Disney Interactive and the Disney Internet Group, along with Warner Bros., Hanna-Barbera, Sony and Sega.

Ed has a Producer's Fellowship from the American Film Institute, Beverly Hills, an M.A. in Film and Television from the University of Iowa and a B.A. in Art from St. Cloud University, Minnesota, along with extra work at the American Animation Institute, North Hollywood, Gnomon 3D and Studio Arts 3D in Los Angeles.                                       RESUME

In the Design Loft Studio, Ed has an an active business providing concept development, art and animation services to a variety of media outlets to include book publishers, media directors, film,  interactive and online producers.

The Design Loft Studio is owned and operated as a service and development enterprise, utilizing
the internet and other digital communications to link talent from the animation industry with the needs of clients. 

CREATIVE ASSOCIATES:

Curt Walstead is a talented Storyboard Artist and Director with 20 years' experience at studios such as Sony, Disney Television, Warner Bros., Universal, Jumbo Pictures and many others.  Curt received his BFA in Illustration from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.  Along with his work in traditional animation, Curt does illustration and product design, packaging and presentation art for consumer products and theme parks.  He also has developed and successfully marketed a  variety of plush toy lines for himself and various manufacturers.
 

Mike Inman is a second-generation illustrator/painter  who learned his craft well under the guidance of his father, noted illustrator and painter Dick Inman.  He has completed advanced/classical studies at the Atlanta College of Art, The Atlanta Portfolio Center, Ringling School of Art & Design in Sarasota Florida, Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, as well as workshops by Glenn Vilppu and Steve Huston.  An illustrator over the last decade, Mike has also been working as an animation background painter/illustrator for the past five years for Dreamworks, Warner Bros. and Disney, among others.

As a result of working for most of the largest animation studios in the world, Ed Olson has established a broad base of artistic and technical talent to employ as associates when needed.
